Chocolate comes from the seeds of Theobroma cacao fruit (that means "fruit of God"), which has a shape of a football ball (pod) and it could be yellow or purple.
These fruits only grow in South-Est Asia, Central-South America and West Africa. Farmers collect the fruits by hand and they cut them in two, taking the seeds from the inside.
The seeds are white, they are left of banana's leaves and covered with the same leaves. After a period of fermentation, the seeds, before white, take the color brown.
