The bridges of London

The city of London didn't exist until the first bridge was built. The Romans built the first wooden crossing here, which was the center of Londinium and it survived for 600 years.
London's new concrete structure was opened by the Queen in 1973, the Tower Bridge. It is now the symbol of London. It was built with a simple design and it lets river traffic go up and down to the center of London. Tower bridge celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2014.

Another important bridge is the Millennium bridge, that it's called "The wobbly Bridge" because of its swaying movement, and it opened in 2000.
The busiest bridge in the city is Blackfriars bridge. The original opened in 1769 and it was replaced a century later with the Victorian bridge we see today.
